Italian Designed Equipment Focused on Increasing Energy Efficiency at IMTS 2016

By Larry Turner, President/CEO of Hannover Fairs USA, Inc., Deutsche Messe’s U.S. subsidiary and organizer of five co-located industrial trade shows and conferences at IMTS

Since Industrial Automation North America launched at IMTS 2012, international participation has continued to increase across all of the Industrial Technology Events powered by Hannover Messe. This September, approximately 70 percent of the companies exhibiting at the five co-located industrial trade shows are headquartered outside of the United States. The United States is a very attractive market for these international technology firms, and they are keen to showcase their smart manufacturing solutions. We see this trend continuing.

Fueling the steady increase in international exhibitor participation are international trade associations, such as the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). ITA is the Italian Government Agency promoting the internationalization of Italian companies abroad, in line with the strategies of the Ministry for Economic Development. ITA and Assofluid – the Italian Fluid Power Association, which represents close to three-quarters of the Italian fluid power manufacturing sector, will present their hydraulic and pneumatic member companies at MDA North America. The Italian exhibitors at MDA North America are all well known for their competitiveness, quality, reliability and performance.

Complementing the innovative fluid power and hydraulic & pneumatic equipment demonstrated during MDA North America is now a line-up of compressed air and vacuum technologies showcased on the floor of the new ComVac North America trade show. During both trade shows, approximately 20 Italian exhibitors will be demonstrating turnkey intelligent solutions that safely address industrial organizations’ need for increased energy efficiency. The Italian organizations also will be showcasing their focus on research and development that stimulates exciting new compressor filtration and vacuum technologies plus their emphasis on successfully addressing individual customer needs.

Commenting on Italian-based Sotras decision to exhibit at the inaugural ComVac North America trade show, Executive Director of Sales Carlo Quaglino says, “ComVac North America offers us an extraordinary opportunity to open doors into the United States industrial market. U.S. manufacturers have signaled their interest in sourcing Italian-made quality filtration products. We see this show as an important chance to offer our specialized knowledge and our high-quality innovative, safe and reliable industrial filters for compressors and vacuum pumps.”

Sylvie Carret, assistant to the managing director of Termomeccanica Pompe, a 100 year-old Italian-based industrial products designer and manufacturer of compressed air solutions exhibiting at ComVac North America says, “According to our experience, the most important expectation in the compressed air field is for reliable machines offering improved performance and consuming less energy while maintaining a competitive price. For this reason, Termomeccanica Pompe’s Bare-shaft Division has developed a new ITA (Improved Termomeccanica Air-end) series of products that are specifically oriented to performance and energy savings at an affordable price. We look forward to demonstrating our ITA series to ComVac attendees.”

Visitors to MDA North America and ComVac North America trade shows will discover a number of international resources and solutions for saving energy in their factories, as well as services to help them thrive in the growing, competitive global economy.
