The pace of technological change is rapidly accelerating, as automation suppliers and controls developers race to bring to fruition the connected factory of the future. At this year’s co-located Industrial Automation North America show, held in the Lakeside East Building of McCormick Place at IMTS 2016, more than double the number of exhibitors as appeared in 2014 will showcase their wares for the Industrial Internet and related technologies.
Many of the latest cutting-edge technical advances in new factory automation will be on display at Industrial Automation North America. “IMTS attendees will come face-to-face with Integrated Industry trends,” observed Larry Turner, CEO of Hannover Fairs USA Inc. (Chicago). “The focus of IMTS and the five co-located shows is using technology to unite manufacturing operations and support Industry 4.0, which was established at Hannover Messe in Germany. Industry 4.0, also known as Industrial Internet of Things, is having a profound impact on the manufacturing industry today.
